The main event is yet to be revealed but Johnson vs. Nogueira is expected to take place on the main card. UFC on Fox 12’s main card will be available on Fox following the preliminary fights on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Former UFC welterweight “Rumble” made his highly anticipated Octagon return in the 205 pound weight class just under two weeks ago at UFC 172 where he battered Davis for three rounds to take a points win. The unexpected mauling propelled the 30-year old to No. 5 in the official UFC rankings.

With the decision, Johnson is now on a seven-fight win streak which includes victories over the likes of Jake Rosholt, Andrei Arlovski and Mike Kyle. His last loss came at the hands of Vitor Belfort at the end of his first stint in the UFC back in January 2012.

“Little Nog” is set to return to action after nearly seventeen months of dealing with multiple injuries. Nogueira was scheduled to face Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 161 but was unable to return in time for the fight. A match with Alexander Gustafsson was also rumoured to be in the making but the Brazilian was unable to take that fight also.

The 37-year old last fought at UFC 156 where he took a close decision victory over former light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans. Nogueira’s win over Evans put the Pride legend to 4-2 in his UFC career.
