Another UFC Reebok Tee Shirt, Another Ridiculous Mistake

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, one of the most recognizable faces in all MMA, is the subject of Reebok’s latest appalling error….

It’s got to the point now with the UFC Reebok deal that we are simply puzzled by the constant stream of terrible mistakes by the well known sports clothing company. From day one the misprints, spelling errors and terribly designed Reebok fighter kit has dropped the ball over and over again. After offending the Irish nation on multiple occasions, misspelling numerous very well known athletes on their tees, and in some cases mixing up the names of two fighters on one logo, the controversial partnership is sinking like a lead balloon.

UFC president Dana White will tell you it’s a home run, but the reality is that the merchandise, as f*cked up and mistake riddled as it’s been, is on sale to the public. We are struggling to liken this to any other sponsorship deal in other niches of sports, because quite simply nothing has ever been this stupid and amateur in the past. Check out this Anderson Silva tee, that is on sale on the website, that mixes up the names of the ex-middleweight champ and his featherweight counterpart.Screenshot_from_2015-12-01_10_54_13.0[1]

Item description: “Anderson Silva channels the striking power of “The Spider,” and now you can channel his fighting style with a cotton crewneck tee that comes with serious fan cred.”

That’s right, for the low price of just 35 US Dollars, you too can be touting an ‘Anderson Aldo The Spider Middleweight tee.’ At least this time they got the nationality of the fighter correct, albeit for a completely made up athlete.

So what is happening here? Does Reebok really want out of the deal, or are they subject to the worst manufacturing and quality control known to man? With only one US based manufacturing site for the apparel giant, it’s likely these hilarious errors can be traced back to one of the Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai or other Eastern based factories. Even so, they are being passed through QC, someone is listing them for sale, and people are potentially paying money for this absolute sham of a product.

Please Reebok deal, just die.
