Former UFC champion Alexa Grasso reveals nasty leg break suffered during training

Former undisputed UFC flyweight champion, Alexa Grasso is set for a significant spell on the sideline, with former pound-for-pound number one confirming a leg fracture suffered in training following her title fight loss to three-fight rival, Valentina Shevchenko.

Grasso, a former undisputed flyweight champion and the current number one ranked contender, most recently co-headlined Noche UFC at the Las Vegas Sphere in September, suffering a unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) loss to Shevchenko in the pair’s trilogy fight.

Dropping her championship as a result, Grasso had previously battled to a split decision draw against the two-time champion, having landed a stunning upset submission win over Shevchenko in March of last year to kick off her surprising title reign.

However, amid a call out from Erin Blanchfield following her decision win over ex-champion, Rose Namajunas last month, Grasso is likely set to face some time away from the Octagon, revealing a serious leg fracture suffered during training,
