It’s not long now until the UFC heavyweight championship is put on the line in Mexico City, Mexico, and the promotion is ramping up the hype for the big PPV (pay-per-view) event. Cain Velasquez will look to continue his brutal reign at the top of the 265-pound division, as he faces the man that has bossed the weight class during the champ’s injury stint, the interim UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum.

There’s pride and a potential run at the title at stake in the co-main event for UFC 188, as former Bellator and Strikeforce lightweight champions collide. Eddie Alvarez will take on Gilbert Melendez in a likely barn burner, as both exciting strikers look to make headway at 155 pounds.
