UFC Fight Night 62 is set to go down on March 21, 2015 from the Maracanazinho gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The main event features grappling guru Demian Maia against rising welterweight Ryan LaFlare.

The co-main event of the evening was supposed to feature former Strikeforce champion Josh “The Punk” Thompson up against Gilbert Burns, but it seems as if Burns now needs a new opponent. It was reported today that Thompson has been forced out of the bout due to an undisclosed injury. MMAFighting confirmed the news.

The UFC is supposedly trying to find Burns, an undefeated prospect, a new opponent. He most recently secured a first-round submission win over Christos Giagos at UFC 179 last October. Prior to that, “Durinho” scored a unanimous decision win over Andreas Stahl in his Octagon debut.

This is not the first injury that has struck this card, as the main event was originally supposed to be a bantamweight battle between top contenders Urijah Faber and Raphael Assuncao. However, the Brazilian had to pull out due to an ankle injury, and Faber is now set to take on Frankie Edgar in May.
