Jon Jones Update: Police Found Marijuana, Pipe After ‘Bones’ Fled Scene
New details have arisen in the alleged case of Jon Jones fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident involving a pregnant woman, and let’s just say they aren’t exactly going to clear the dominant UFC light heavyweight champion’s name.
Ariel Helwani just confirmed that the Albuquerque, New Mexico police department issued a report that jones supposedly had marijuana and a marijuana pipe in his vehicle when he allegedly fled the scene:

Jones was named a suspect in the accident by the Albuquerque PD late last night, and apparently the police are still waiting to hear back from both Jones and his lawyer. They informed Helwani they were awaiting a health status update on the 21-year-old victim of the incident:
From ABQ PD just now: We have not heard from Jon or his lawyer. We are currently following up with the victim to check on her health status. — Ariel Helwani (@arielhelwani) April 27, 2015
So just four months after his cocaine scandal blew up in the aftermath of his hyped UFC 182 victory over Daniel Cormier, Jones is back in the news for all the wrong reasons heading into his next blockbuster match-up with Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at May 23’s fast-approaching UFC 187.
The UFC has looked the other way on many of Jones’ past transgressions involving cars, alcohol, and drugs, but this latest example may force them to actually punish the polarizing champion who just can’t seem to stay out of trouble; especially if it is determined drugs were involved.
