Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt Official For UFC 200
Former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE all star Brock Lesnar is once again the talk of the town in mixed martial arts. It’s been 15 months since Lesnar officially retired from the UFC, where he saw success as champion after demolishing Randy Couture for the belt. Successfully defending against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin, the gigantic beast was tamed by Cain Velasquez to lose the belt, and later demolished by Alistair Overeem who sent Lesnar in to retirement.
He left the sport with only a 5-3 record, but his impact on MMA was undeniable. As the main event attraction for the monster UFC 100 pay-per-view card, Lesnar led the march to promotional history during his rivalry with Frank Mir. Smashing the former champ by TKO, the WWE cross over helped destroy the all time PPV buy record.
During this past Saturday’s (June 4, 2016) UFC 199 broadcast, Ariel Helwani leaked information about Lesnar’s return fight. The UFC 200 promo video that aired later in the evening confirmed that Brock would be coming back to the UFC, with an opponent yet to be determined.
Instantly lighting up the MMA forums in a frenzy reminiscent of his first UFC signing in 2008, the surprise announcement by the promotion was truly awesome. Whether you’re a fan or not, you have to admit that the addition of Brock Lesnar to UFC 200 is HUGE!
So who will Lesnar face? During an exclusive interview with ESPN Sportscenter today, the WWE legend and returning UFC star dished the goods, and it’s added so much more fuel to the fire…

Check out the best quotes:
“I couldn’t live with my decision. It was a hard decision for me to make. That decision has haunted me for the last 15 months, and I couldn’t live with it for the rest of my life. I didn’t want to regret it 20 years from now. I was on UFC 100, so why not be on UFC 200, the biggest stage of all. This was me sitting and having a coffee and thinking about whether it was the right decision. I told nobody, this thing haunted me for a long time.”
“In my mind, I never lost to an opponent, I lost to my illness. Other people might say different about my performance, but it was the illness I was fighting. I don’t have to fake it, this is for real, I’m so excited. I’ll be fighting Mark Hunt.””
“I’m the modern day Bo Jackson, I’m a prize fighter. I can’t disclose how much I’m getting paid, there’s lots of zeros behind it. Everyone is getting paid. When I had the conversation with Dana, it was like I needed to get an answer from him. I started getting in shape, and when the higher powers said yes, I thought about it a little longer. You have to be in total different shape from WWE. Dana didn’t know I was even serious about this.”
“”I know of Conor McGregor, this sport has evolved and people are finding out that you have to talk the talk and walk the walk. I think it’s great. I got no qualms with anybody.”
