Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine fight card medical suspensions
On Saturday, January 7, Strikeforce presented their first fight card of 2012. The main event saw Luke Rockhold successfully defend his Strikeforce Middleweight crown against Keith Jardine. In the co-main event, Robbie Lawler recovered from an illegal knee, ending his fight against Adlan Amagov with a knee of his own.
In all, there were nine fights on the card. Of the eighteen competitors, eight escaped without a medical suspension, ten other fighters weren’t so lucky.
Strikeforce Medical Suspensions:
Luke Rockhold was suspended until July 6 due to an injury to his right hand; a doctor can clear him early.
Keith Jardine was suspended until March 8, with no contact until February 22.
Adlam Amagov was suspended until February 7, with no contact until January 29.
Lorenz Larkin was suspended until February 7, with no contact until January 29.
Tarec Saffiedine was suspended until July 6 due to an injury to his left elbow. A doctor can clear Saffiedine early, but he is suspended until February 22 with no contact until February 7 due to a cut near his left eye.
Tyler Stinson was suspended until July 6 due to injuries to his left thumb and right knee. He can be cleared early by a doctor, but he is suspended until February 22 with no contact until February 7 due to a cut near his right eye.
James Terry was suspended until July 6 due to an injured shoulder, but he can be cleared early by a doctor.
Trevor Smith was suspended until January 29, with no contact until January 22.
Estevan Payan was suspended until February 7, with no contact until January 29 due to a cut near his right eye.
Alonzo Martinez was suspended until February 22 with no contact until February 7 due to a cut on his nose.
