So Long Jorge Posada

Jorge Posada made it official and hung up his cleats with an emotional farewell. Posada has been around for almost as long as I've been following baseball.

 

As a Red Sox fan I'm pretty much programmed to hate the guts of any Yankees' player. But looking back at it, I don't really seem to remember a time I really hated him that much. I'm sure there were moments, I just can't think of them. I do know, though, that to me, he was never the worst of them. He was never as despised as A-Rod, never annoyed me as much as Jeter and there was never that "I can-not believe he is wearing pinstripes" shock and pain that was bestowed upon me care of Johnny Damon, or much earlier, Roger Clemens.

 

Surprisingly, his fall in 2011 was even kind of sad in a way. And you know it's time to say goodbye when your rival's fans feel bad for you… So, so long Jorge, I still will not miss you…
