“Cowboy” Cerrone Blasts Conor McGregor & Movement Coach
Leading up to his massively hyped and much anticipated featherweight title fight with Jose Aldo at last weekend’s (December 12, 2015) UFC 194 from Las Vegas, newly crowned champion the “Notorious” Conor McGregor was seen training quite frequently with a movement coach, Ido Portal.
Many were even worried that McGregor wasn’t working enough on his skills, but of course the situation played at well for the Irishman as he secured a shocking 13-second knockout of Aldo to become the undisputed 145-pound king.
On his quest to the top, McGregor’s brash personality and outspoken trash talk has seemed to stir up quite a few rivalries, including feuds with fighters outside of his weight class such as current lightweight title challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
Cerrone will challenger Rafael dos Anjos for the 155-pound strap this weekend (December 19, 2015) in the main event of UFC on FOX 17 from Orlando, Florida, and he and McGregor have gone back and forth in the past.
In fact, the two could potentially meet in the near future as the “Notorious” one has expressed his interest to move up a weight class and challenge the winner of RDA vs. Cerrone.
As far as McGregor and his movement coach goes, “Cowboy” recently spoke on the topic, not holding back in the least bit, stating that he doesn’t care what the Irishman does (Via Submission Radio):
“Someone asked me if I had a movement coach and I said I have no fucking idea what a movement coach is. So he can work with a fucking ballerina. I don’t give a shit what the kid does, you know. Whatever helps him out. Like sure, if you think movement coach, jumping over sticks and shit is gonna help you, it fucking might. I don’t know. Maybe I’m in the dark ages here.”
The two standouts have seemed to have both expressed interest in fighting one another and it has slowly become a very realistic possibility.
Who would you pick in this potential clash?
