Longtime veteran Jim Miller took on Michael Chiesa in the co-main event of tonight’s (Thurs., December 10, 2015) UFC Fight Night Night 80 from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight started with Chiesa landing some good tagging shots, to which Miller countered with a good shot of his own. He pressed forward with punches and Chiesa switched levels with a takedown, smothering Miller. He rained down elbows and punches, but Miller sought a heel hook. Chiesa reversed to attempt a triangle choke as it became a chess match of mat transitions, with Miller taking Chiesa’s back. He round down the first looking for a choke.

The second round began with a brief exchange, with Miller landing two hard left hands. Chiesa was aggressive, gaining an edge when he ducked under a miller hook to score a takedown. He unloaded a big elbow and battered Miller, who went for a spinning heel hook attempt.

But Chiesa turned the tables with some hard shots, wobbling Miller before he locked on a rear naked choke to earn the tap and the biggest win of his MMA career at three minutes of the second round.
