Invicta FC 9 went down live on UFC Fight Pass tonight (Sat., November 1, 2014) from the River Center in Davenport, Iowa.

The event featured a flyweight championship bout between Barb Honchak and Takayo Hashi. Honchak was effective from the clinch in the first round, and dropped Hashi with a vicious low kick in the second.

Hashi got a takedown in the third but Honchak controlled the pace with more clinch work in the fourth. Honchak opened up her striking with some big shots in the fifth to retain the belt with a unanimous decision.

Mizuki Inoue squared off with Karolina Kowalkiewicz in an amazing back-and-forth co-main event. Inoue controlled the grappling for the most part, but the undefeated Kowalkiewicz put out a nonstop volume of accurate strikes to take home a close split decision.
