Glory 19 Results & GIFs: Rico Verhoeven Retains Heavyweight Belt

glory 19 results

Glory 19 went down last night (Saturday February 6th, 2015) with the heavyweight title on the line. Rico Verhoeven looked to defend his belt against 102-fight veteran Errol Zimmerman. The action came thick and fast in the first round, but was cut short in the second when “The Bonecrusher” injured his knee. A strange 10 count followed by a doctor waving the fight off meant that Verhoeven was granted the ‘KO’ win.

Karate specialist Raymond Daniels looked to be on fire at the beginning of the night, as he blasted Jonathan Oliveira with a myriad of spinning techniques. Nieky Holzken picked up a unanimous decision win over Alexander Stetcurenko to set up a welterweight finals showdown with Daniels.

Holzken put in a solid performance, and eventually got the finish over his outmatched foe in the third round after four knockdowns. Bellator veteran and MMA crossover Joe Schilling put in some solid work against Robert Thomas en route to a unanimous decision win at middleweight.
