Video: Cheick Kongo trains Muay Thai, Boxing and Jiu Jitsu prior to UFC 149

In the following exclusive video, shared with us by our good friends at MMA H.E.A.T., Cheick Kongo trains in MMA, Muay Thai and boxing just two days prior to his apperance at UFC 149 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Kongo’s trainers include Head Coach Dave Jackson, boxing coach Christophe Mendy and BJJ coach Mario Sukata.

Kongo went on to win over Shawn Jordan via unanimous decision. Kongo later claimed that he went into the bout with a pre-existing shoulder injury that worsened during the fight. When asked why he took the fight, he would say: “I dislocated my right clavicle and it was painful. Because it didn’t move, I didn’t need to have it readjusted.”
