UFC Ultimate 8: Ranking The Best Headkick Knockouts In UFC History

2013 was a year full of impressive knockouts, and many of them featured the ultimate destruction of headkicks. Vitor Belfort knocked out three top-level fightters with headkicks last year, blasting Michael Bisping, Luke Rockhold, and Dan Henderson into oblivion.

Junior dos Santos’ spinning wheel kick victory over “The Super Samoan” Mark Hunt also comes to mind, as does Travis Browne’s insane come-from-behind front kick knockout of Alistair Overeem.

But none of those illustrious knockouts made the top 8 of all-time. The Ultimate Fighting Championship just released its “UFC Ultimate 8″ list of top headkick knockouts. Watch Joe Rogan count down the best, and offer up your favorites in the comments below!

Where did Vitor's wheel kick go? I think that should be in the top three as well.

My personal no 1 is Edson barboza's wheel kick.

Edson's kick was just perfectly executed and timed. It doesn't really get any better for headkick knockouts. My number 2 would be Machida's crane kick, followed by Silva's front kick.

Vitor's wheel kick was great as well, but Edson was the first to pull it off in the octagon, as was Machida's crane and Silva's front kick. That's why they get the knod over Vitor's kick imo. Doing something for the first time on an elite level deserves extra praise I think.

Hold on, so after Joe talks about specifically having a one kick knock out he brings in GSP on Hughes, who clearly wasn't knocked out from that kick but just knocked down.

And I gotta give Edson the #1 spot.
