Feisty featherweights Max Holloway and Akira Corassani threw down in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 53 last night (Oct 4th, 2014) and it was quite a thrilling fight. After the Swede landed some nice right hands early in the fight, he got clipped by the taller “Blessed” and dropped.
As you can clearly see in the above video, Corassani was out before he hit the ground on the second 1-2 combo. The referee, apparently thinking that lying down out cold is still enough defense to fight on, allows Holloway to pound on his face some more before finally stepping in to end the beating.
