TUF 17 Finale Medical Suspensions

With TUF 17 in the rear view mirror the Nevada State Athletic Commission has publicly released the list of medical suspensions. As well as the main card, the under card supplied some thoroughly exciting finishes although some fighters on the receiving ends of the finishes will be sidelined for quite a while.

Cole Miller suspended until 5/5/13, no contact until 4/29/13.

Maximo Blanco suspended until 5/14/2013 , no contact until 5/5/13.

Sam Sicilia suspended until 5/14/2013 , no contact until 5/5/13 due to right thumb injury, right eye laceration.

Justin Lawrence suspended until 5/14/2013 , no contact until 4/29/13.

The news that Miesha Tate could face up to six months out is not good for her title aspirations. Although the time away might allow her to focus more and come back stronger. Any questions of an early stoppage will surely have been answered now, Tate took a terrible beating and her post fight medical has proven that.

Kim Winslow has taken a fair amount of criticism about her reffing style, but I think she made the right choice on stopping the fight.

I hate Kim Winslow a lot. Just because stand ups. I will never accept any stand up, you should have skills to stand up.
