Pros Pick Lyoto Machida vs. Gegard Mousasi

Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi are set to square off at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 36, in a Middleweight attraction. The fight holds significance as ‘The Dragon’ stands to earn a shot at the title with a win. ‘The Dreamcather’ may not be in line for a shot with a victory, but Machida would be a huge boost for his stock.

Mousasi’s promotional debut was a decision win over Alexander Gustafsson’s late replacement Ilir Latifi at UFC on Fuel back in April, 2013. Unbeaten since 2010 and widely considered as one of the best fighters outside the UFC since around 2008, a win over ‘The Dragon’ would probably and GM in a title eliminator bout.

MMAInterviews.tv gathered some of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts to get their views on who will win the main event at UFN 36. Featuring Glover Teixeira, Jake Ellenberger, Joseph Benavidez and Urijah Faber; the below video is worth a watch. Enjoy!

I see it the same way, can't find a place Mousasi is better than Machida anywhere.

As good as he's been, we haven't seen the best of Lyoto Machida. He's gonna make Mousasi look bad.

While I agree that Machida may have the advantage, it's not as if he's fighting a chump. I still wouldn't be too surprised if Mousasi won by K.O
