Poll: What Was Your Favorite UFC Fight From 2014?

It’s been a crazy year for the world’s biggest MMA organization, and it all went down in the absence of their biggest stars for the most part. After what was inevitably a slower year than the madness of 2013, the promotion may have hoped for more. There were some classic bouts this year, but you could argue that none really lived up to the best of last year.

That being said, you can’t ignore how thrilling some of the pairings have been this past 12 months, so what was your favorite UFC fight from 2104?

Perhaps UFC 171’s headliner of Johny Hendricks vs Robbie Lawler was the one for you? “Bigg Rigg” and “Ruthless” put on what was hailed as the best 170-pound title fight ever that night. Maybe Matt Brown’s inspirational and gritty TKO over Erick Silva back at UFC Fight Night 40 was more your kind of fight.

Look back and remember the epic evening that was UFC 175, and the thrilling main event of Chris Weidman vs Lyoto Machida. The champion showed great heart to come back after being rocked late on, and added another ex-champion to his resume after five exciting rounds with “The Dragon”.

TJ Dillashaw turned the world upside down at UFC 173, thrashing the formerly dominant champion Renan Barao, and finishing him in the fifth round to capture the bantamweight gold. Or there is always the five round burner that was Jose Aldo vs Chad Mendes II at UFC 179.

What about Dan Henderson vs Mauricio Shogun Rua II at UFC Fight Night 38? The anticipation leading up to that night was ramped up after their first FOTY in 2013, and things got real ugly, real fast in the rematch. I’ve compiled a list of 10 of the best UFC fights of 2014 for you to vote for below, but please feel free to comment if your choice isn’t there.
