Jose Aldo Picks Fedor Emelianenko As The Greatest Fighter of All Time

With momentum on his side, reigning UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo Jr. looks to continue his undefeated tenure within the UFC against Chan Sung Jung at UFC 163 on August 3rd.

Set to defend the belt in front of his countrymen in Rio de Janeiro, Caio RPB recently caught up with Aldo at a training session to ask him his opinion on the greatest fighter of all time.

The results may surprise you, as Aldo picks Fedor Emelianenko as number one, and even ranks another fighter ahead of his fellow Brazilian Anderson Silva:

Anderson is a douche but at the same time he is pure genious….No one has ever done in the the octagon/ring what AS did…he dominated with stile, flair and violence as no one before him….to bad it looks like he became a little crazy in the process…..fine line between crazy and genious indeed.

If Fedor signed with the UFC, Dana would have been taking shots of Vodka at the press conferences and renaming the octagon the Kremlin.

The little bald man lost out like a jealous lover when Fedor didn't sign and Dana has never been the same.

Fedor is awesome. Watch him and Big Nog is indelibly etched in my memory. And props to Aldo for going with a non-Brazilian. But he did lose to Werdum and Big Foot, both very good fighters, but not great fighters. Weidmann could be a great fighter.

I understand why Silva got bumped out of the current p4p list, but that doesn't invalidate all his achievements, records, etc.

Aldo should be higher in the P4P.

I mean, he's nearly cleaned out his division now. He's like Spider when he fought at LHW. He's had more fights then Jon Jones and finished more guys then GSP over the same number of fights going back.

I understand ranking Fedor that high but Lidell? The guy was great but no where near the greatest of all time conversation IMHO. He wasn't even the best LHW in his prime. Those guys were fighting in Japan.
