Dana White has high praise for UFC on Fuel TV 9 fighters

UFC President Dana White appears in a post-fight interview with Fuel TV, heaping high praise upon all the fighters who performed well on yesterday’s card. He makes a great point in noting that you can’t judge an event until it’s truly over.

White acknowledges the great fight between Brad Pickett and Mike Easton, and also congratulates the debuting Conor McGregor. He elaborates more on his respect for Gegard Mousasi, who fought a new opponent with an injured knee. He also thanks Ilir Latifi for stepping in, and notes that the SMMAF is a relatively inexperienced commission.

Overall, I thought the card was quite good. However, I thought the main bout was a boring and without much to it and again, I fail to see why the top of the card is / was only 3 rounds.

That said, to me the worst part of this card was the start time in North America. I prefer watching the fights @ night, as opposed to the afternoon. From that POV, it's a little hard to get into.

      @ Courtes

And I can most certainly appreciate that, hence, I made note of my presence in North America. I appreciate, that in an effort to grow the sport and accommodate a growing global audience, that, from time-to-time, I might be required to simply have a beer and enjoy the fights at 3 PM, as opposed to really looking forward to an event, getting a pint of dark rum and really getting into it @ 9:00 PM EST.

The North American Fans who built this sport through interest and commerce, are more than happy to watch the occasional 3:00 PM bout, from back east. :-)

It was a pretty solid and entertaining bout. I hope you not only enjoyed it, but caught it live. Good for you guys!

sure you can judge a card before watching the fights. I wanna see guys that I KNOW, guys that have some personality/charisma.
