A pivotal women’s strawweight bout has been added to the ranks of the UFC’s debut in Krakow, Poland. Claudia Gadelha vs Aisling Daly is official for UFC Fight Night 64, and will likely serve as a great display of talent for the newly formed WMMA division. Gadelha, a BJJ black belt and Nova Uniao product, is coming off a razor tight (perhaps controversial) decision loss to Joanna Jędrzejczyk at UFC On FOX 13.

Daly, a product of Conor McGregor‘s training camp SBG Ireland, debuted for the UFC with a first round armbar submission win against Alex Chamber at The Ultimate Fighter 20 finals. Both Daly and Gadelha were contestants on the latest season of the reality TV show. When quizzed, “Ais The Bash” had the following to say via MMAJunkie:

“I think a lot of girls would shy away from her, but I was really excited to get this fight, I didn’t think I would get offered a fight like this for a while, so I was really happy to get Claudia. I wouldn’t say it’s a huge step up in competition, but it is good for me to come up against somebody like her. In my mind, there are three or four of us in the division that are up there, and she’s one of them. So I’m delighted – sometimes you get what you ask for.”

Interesting that Nova Uniao, the camp of Jose Aldo, is taking on Straight Blast Gym of Ireland. Anyone smell a rivalry?
