Check Out This Awesome UFC 162 Silva vs. Weidman Preview

UFC 162 is going to be an electric event, the headlining bout of Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman is enough to guarantee me as a viewer. You’ve got Frankie Edgar, Mark Munoz, Tim Boetsch, Edson Barboza and a half decent Facebook card.

Much has already been said about the caliber of Chris Weidman, the kid is a brilliant fighter. The man standing opposite him at UFC 162 is one of the greatest combat specialists alive, Anderson Silva. It’s a recipe for an awesome title tilt.

Plus, while trawling the interwebs, I found this pretty cool UFC 162 preview. Check out the video below, couresy of El Octagono, and stay tuned to Lowkick!

You know it's going to be a bust when there's such a lack of highlight footage from the challenger, that they have to have all his friends/training partners try to convince you he's a threat. That's all I needed to see. AS by KO round 1

A prime hungry Anderson Silva would toy this kid but he is 38 and does not seem to find credible competition at his weight class…dont know how hard he is preparing for this fight…. I think if i could trade watching mma for the next 5 years or watching Silva vs Jones i would choose the later……Silva vs Jones and there is nothing else!!

A prime hungry Anderson might lose to him by flying heel-hook.

Have you seen Silva slow down 1 bit??? He might be 38 but he has not lost any speed, power or any of his God given talent for that matter…. Age aint nothing but a number… he'll toy Weidman now just as much as he would 5 years ago. Other than that Silva had plenty of credible competition…. just because he makes them look bad doesn't mean they were not tough! Silva is just THAT GOOD! Silva is gonna make an example out of this kid and the only fight after that that would make any sense would be Jones. So we'll probably see that by years end…

Might have a changing of the guard here. Anderson really has to put away Chris early. The longer it goes the more trouble Anderson's streak is in, but Anderson is the best in the world at putting people away early.

If Anderson does lose, I hope we only see him once or twice more. If I have to see him turn into another RJJ I might lose my taste for combat sports.

With greatest respect Evan, you sound like a moron sometimes. What makes you say that "The longer it goes the more trouble Anderson's streak is in"??

To me it looks you've already lost your taste in Combat sports nd you should do something about it.

GSP is praying 5x a day that Silva loses, just so he can comfortably dodge the bullet himself… Cause we all know what's gonna happen if (correction) WHEN… Silva wins. GSP is gonna look like a stankin' lil Pussss… if he doesn't step up! He does NOT want that fight.. PERIOD! and he's been dodging it in every possible way! The opportunity was there to make the fight but GSP pusssss'ed OUT! Now you GSP nutttsuckers can go ahead and weak me :-)

I'm gonna add to that, that i think GSP is great and there's absolutely no shame for him NOT to want to step up and fight Silva…. He's at an advantage in size and he's protecting his legacy BUT…. just come out and say it…. "Middleweight is not the place for me"…. end of discussion! I'm tired of all the excuses… This is the fight business. Either show up, or Shut up!
