UFC bad guy Chael Sonnen’s Sportscenter debut went pretty well, check out his UFC 180 preview….
Former UFC middleweight and light-heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen appeared for the first time on Sportscenter this week, after a year filled with controversy and failed drug tests. “The American Gangster” received his marching papers from FOX and the UFC after failing (maybe 10?) drug tests in one year.
As luck would have it for Chael P, ESPN took the opportunity to snatch up the mouthy former MMA contender, and his three minute debut actually went pretty smoothly. Well, apart from when he said that “Mark Hunt hits like me, just a lot harder””.
Hunt will face Fabricio Werdum in the main event of UFC 180 tonight (Saturday November 15th, 2014) as the promotion makes the inaugural trip down to Mexico. Sonnen’s breakdown of the fight wasn’t actually all bad, except of course his ill timed comparison.
