UFC releases Brand New video trailer for GSP vs. Condit

Just in case you need a refresher course on why Carlos Condit was tabbed as a replacement for Nick Diaz, the UFC released a brand new promotional trailer just shortly after announcing that “The Natural Born Killer” would now be stepping in to challenge Georges St. Pierre for the Welterweight title.

GSP vs. Condit will headline the stacked UFC 137 fight card, set to talk place October 29th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Photo: Francis Specker

i am a fan of Condit but come on this is ridiculous. Diaz had way more to offer from his top level Boxing to his Black belt BJJ. We have seen condit over and over struggle with dudes that can wrestle ellenberger, macdonald, shields GSP will take him down at will and win a DEC people who think otherwise are kidding themselves

WAR CONDIT, would be awesome to have a WW champ that finishes fights

… that aside, i still think GSP will win, seeing what rory macdonald did to condit makes me think GSP will do exactly that, except 10x better and not get caught.

Nothing against Condit, but this fight just went from having the opportunity to be one of the best fights ever to the typical 25 minutes lay and pray fest by our great finisher. Please Condit do your best to keep the fight standing.

I like Condit a lot and he is an awesome fighter who has found his stride now in the UFC finishing his last 4 fights, 3 of them by impressive KO’s. My only problem is that in the past Condit has struggled with good wrestlers, against strikers he does great and his jits isn’t too bad either, but against GSP he wont be able to stop his takedowns. GSP has some of the best takedowns and wrestling in the game and if Condit can’t keep this fight standing it’s going to be a long night for him……..on his back. His only chance imo is if GSP decides to keep it standing which with Condits strong finishes lately just isn’t going to happpen, Condit wants to start drilling his TDD and fighting off his back right now………

Well pissed off with Diaz as i genuinely think he had the attributes to give GSP a lot of trouble, on the feet and on the ground. What an idiot to blow the chance of a lifetime like that, especially as he’s always complaining about getting paid and shit!!……..sad…..

Nick Diaz has been dry humped by wrestlers too, so what’s your point? Carlos actually has 1 punch KO on his hand and Diaz doesn’t.

Diaz only boxes and has good BJJ but GSP has good Sub defense with excellent top control. GSP would pick Diaz apart in the stand up and molest him on the ground. At least Condit mixes it up,

In my opinion Condit has better stand up then Diaz……(not better boxing), I mean better stand up overall

I think this trailer should’ve mentioned that they’re team mates that would be an interesting angle of promoting it. But anyway this is gonna be a great fight!

problem is, for gsp anyway, is condit is actually quite good off his back, particularly wiht triangles, and reversals… watch n see, he wont keep him down like bj penn or alves or whoever else you wanna talk about, i think he’s gonna be slippery, we’ll see.. again, gsp might just make him look awful as he does the rest… i know it sounds ridiculous but, i think gsp is underrated, i know hes widely considered #2 and it almost makes no sense, but, gsp does what he WANTS all the time, the opponent can do nothing about it. yes he doesn’t KO people with the most spectacular flying knees etc etc, but lets be fair, the reason he does this is because he fights smatrt, not cause he cannot. He got caught by serra and when he said ‘i learn from my mistake’ he really did. Carelessness and over confidence doesn’t win fights, and that’s why he doesnt land front kicks to the chin, but he also will never get man handled for 25him either.. which is why i put him above Silva.. Silva usually is only impressive if he’s in his kind of fight, if someone else dectates, he’s not too impressive or entertaining either… maia, leites, sonnen, these are the few who didnt get into the muay thai \ boxing match and look what happened, and yes, i believe in superfight AS would lose to GSP, but it would absolutely be a decision or sub, and would be very chael sonnen like, except no triangle at the end.

What you just described is an amazing athlete not an amazing fighter. Finishing is a true win and decisioning is just the same as having the upperhand until someone breaks up the fight. Finishing and decisioning cannot be compared as only one really proves the point about fighting. Decisioning does prove a point about athleticism and smarts though. AS has shown unmatchable technique in his fights on the feet and on the ground and has finished in every way and many of the times he didn’t finish was simply his will. GSP says he will finish every fight and then still doesn’t. Koscheck was at the end of himself and still GSP would not or could not finish as promised. So even though you say he could have he actually says he wasn’t able too and that seems to be his story recently. I think GSp would get AS down but I don’t think he could keep him there nor survive all the chances AS would have at knocking him out or subbing him. p4p best athlete I would put GSP at number 1 for sure and AS would be between 10-20. But in fighting skill and ability I easily put AS 1st and GSP behind him somewhere. AS is a pure natural and anyone who trains with him says he’s phenominal and everyone who trains with GSP say he’s extremely hard working, strong as a horse and athletic. Even Freddy Roach said that training with both men that AS was just immediately top notch and that GSP was very good too but because of hard work and determination.

Diaz had to screw up the 1st UFC champ vs SF champ didn’t he?!
I hope Carlos takes it out on GSP. It’s time for a new WW champ.
