Junior Dos Santos is the man!
December 31, 2011 at 8:37 am
Lol at all the weaks i got when i said brock was gonna get smashed,oh and the diaz haters all i got to say is HaHa
December 31, 2011 at 8:40 am
I love Overeem, but JDS will be the HW champ for a long time.
Let’s be real folks… Alistair is gonna MURDER Junior Dos Santos… he doesn’t stand a chance.. LIKE BROCK… Junior does not have Brocks wrestling so there goes that advantage.. Junior does not have Alistairs level of stand up (not even close) great boxer… great power… NOT Alistair Overeems level… Period!! anyone who dissagrees put your money where your mouth is… !! I’m betting a small fortune on Alistair —->> UFC HW CHAMP 2012
These strikeforce heavyweights are no joke, and with them in the division people are going to get cut. I say overeem gets the title though would like to see fedor in ufc he deserves a shot if people like tooney were allowed to fight in ufc.
December 31, 2011 at 8:43 am
I dunno. I voted Jr…but the more i think about it, just dont know. Jr. is sharp and technical, but Allistair is a monster…but more than anything…the now moment…thank god Reem retired Brock…so many people saw that coming here, with comments like “send him back to the WWE.” Good job Allistair…no, great job.

I’m guessing all the weaks got you down, you felt bad, you wanted to cry. You go tell them basterds, man. IN YO FACE!
December 31, 2011 at 8:49 am
Cheick Kongo? Seriously? I hope Barnett can replace Kongo on that list. But my bet is on Alistair.
If Fedor was more seriously and consider fighting top game then it would get interesting.
December 31, 2011 at 8:54 am
A match between two heavyweight knockout artist isn’t the fight to put money on. Waayy to risky, it’s a matter of 1 punch. take the logical approach and bet on Evans to beat Davis.
Last time you talked like that you were wrong
December 31, 2011 at 9:00 am
Yeah… for a couple of month’s
December 31, 2011 at 9:02 am
Yes i was… but then again the co-main event that day doubled my stash and now i’m putting it all on The Reem !!!
December 31, 2011 at 9:16 am
Cheers to fellow Reem Fans!!!
The Reem War Wagon keeps on rolling. For everyone who doubted The Reem, I hope this beating on Brock Lesnar helps you to see why some of us have said for years that he is the best Heavyweight around.
For those of you who think that JDS will stop The Reem, it’s not going to happen. Stop and consider how long JDS has been fighting top level fighters and how long The Reem has. JDS is a good boxer but he is no K1 champion. A pure boxer has never won the K1. Multiple dimension striking will beat boxing everyday. As for the wrestling dimension, if wrestling couldn’t help Brock Lesnar today, it’s not going to help JDS either.
2012 is the year of The Reem. He will be the UFC champion and the first “undisputed” Heavyweight Champion in MMA.
P.S. — He’ll also pass all of the drug tests (in the USA) that so many people accused him of while he was fighting internationally.
December 31, 2011 at 9:17 am
I personal think Overeem has more experience and skillset than JDS.imo
I agree with you that Overeem looks unstoppable; devastating kicks and experience with some of the best that different disciplines have to offer.
December 31, 2011 at 9:20 am
“disagrees” is what you are trying to say.
December 31, 2011 at 9:23 am
I think Davis will surprise and end Evans night.
December 31, 2011 at 9:28 am
That just a small detail I forgot
December 31, 2011 at 9:29 am
Did u not see the Overeem vs Werdum fight ? Weak Sause. JDS can take a punch, i cant say the same for the Reem. I think JDS his a little harder then Shogun or Liddell would ko’d him.
December 31, 2011 at 9:46 am
No one cares about anyone’s one comment enough in this place to remember if you got weaked or not for it, get over yourself a lot of people thought Lesnar was gonna get destroyed and a lot of people thought he wasn’t going to. I just don’t understand why Lesnar wasn’t constantly after that take down instead of just standing with him after the Reem shook off the first one.
December 31, 2011 at 9:49 am
it seems like brock and cain need to work on their game plans, wait let me help. DONT STAND WITH STRIKERS.
December 31, 2011 at 9:56 am
As the morons weak the correct spelling, lol
December 31, 2011 at 9:59 am
JDS has the speed, if he can land it. but. reem should use his size and get him in the clinch and show him some knees and elbows.either way.. cant wait to see it!!
December 31, 2011 at 10:01 am
At least until he gets into the cage with Overeem, then finds himself looking up at the lights.
December 31, 2011 at 10:03 am
The only way JDS will be champ for a long time is if he doesn’t fight Overeem.
December 31, 2011 at 10:42 am
Overeem won’t last a round with JDS.
December 31, 2011 at 10:43 am
Fedor means nothing to the HW division now, so nothing would me more interesting with him involved.
December 31, 2011 at 10:44 am
Did you not watch Lesnar fight Cain Velasquez?
December 31, 2011 at 2:23 pm
JDS for me, im still not gonna jump on the overeem band wagon just yet, what he did to brock was no different to what cain did, dont get me wrong reem could beat jds but i think the edge is with jds, his footwork is much better and boxers usually come out on top of kickboxers in mma
December 31, 2011 at 2:54 pm
JDS vs The Reem is a lot closer than you might think. Yes, The Reem is a legit powerhouse with elite striking. But he has been KOed before in the past. All of these KO’s came from great strikers that had Power and Speed (Lidell, Shogun, Arona just to name a few). JDS is no difference. He’s faster for sure and if he can land, The Reem can be taken out. On the other side, if The Reem keeps bulldozering forward with striking and knees, he can walk away with the belt. Everyone who think the outcome of this fight is already fixed, is probably a millionare already by betting on mma fights. Please stand up and let me “cool” you all day.
December 31, 2011 at 3:00 pm
this one is easy to answer
no ****ing idea! lol
50/50 on Alistar and Dos Santos
December 31, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Ummmm Fedor UFC champ 2012….
What don’t tell me you guys would not like to see that??
December 31, 2011 at 3:11 pm
I would definately like to see that. Only problems are that Fedor will not leave M1 Global and UFC does not co promote. Even if Fedor makes it to the UFC, he’s passed his prime and has not evolved since his pride days, leaving me very cautious to say that he can still beat the best.

Maybe it’s not the content of your comment but the way you say things.
December 31, 2011 at 9:45 pm
Nah reem has been stopped before and on more then one occasion. JDS is extremely fast, explosive, accurate, and powerful with his boxing. JDS by ko or tko
December 31, 2011 at 9:50 pm
Not a chance? Have you seen JDS fight? Reem doesn’t have the greatest chin in the world. Total package of a striker yes. Better pure boxer i think jds has an advantage.
December 31, 2011 at 10:48 pm
Alistair fought against and won from the best kick boxers in the world, but a mma fighter is gonna outbox him?
wow u must be an american
December 31, 2011 at 11:01 pm
I got to go with you on this one! But with one condition; that being if JDS cantake those super hard, fast and super crisp strikes that The Reem will bring.
I have yet to see JDS really tested, and Alistar will be the man to do this. He’s proven his worth to every fight organization on the planet! So what bigger test for JDS than Overeem?
This will be another Super Fight IMO.
Congrats to the Reem for making a successful leap onto the UFC Hunting Ground. Another StrikeForce Champion proves that the best fighters are not just in the UFC.
Well until now! StrikeForce is now 3-1 as far as Champions making a successful transition into the UFC. Jake Shields, Nick Diaz, Dan Henderson, and Alistar Overeem. Maybe Coker knows what he’s doing over there after all.
December 31, 2011 at 11:05 pm
thinking mousasi and lawal will be decent gatekeepers aswell at light heavy
December 31, 2011 at 11:29 pm
I don’t put too much stock in spelling, not as long as your point is made and I understand what one is trying to say; this isn’t English class after all.
On top of that, there are plenty of people from around the world on this site that don’t use english as a first language, so I think it is more of a waste to go back and correct spelling, unless it changes what you said by spelling it differantly.
Hope that makes sense.
January 1, 2012 at 12:01 am
All of those guys faced a much different Overeem too. I think JDS has a chance but thats exactly the way I am looking at it he might be able but I feel reem is really coming in like a storm. I did not get on the Cain band wagon and I can see already people have lost faith in him as number 1heavy by a long margin now. JDS would do better than Cain but I feel he will not keep the title after his struggle with Roy Nelson who I think would be a new type of meat for Overeem to feed on at best.

January 1, 2012 at 12:17 am
JDS has great boxing, but I’m sorry Overeem’s striking is on another level and much more diverse.
January 1, 2012 at 12:30 am
This place cracks me up, one win over Brock and Overeem is number one, you guys nned to go back and pay some attention to JDS’s fight videos.
January 1, 2012 at 12:31 am
Wow Courtes must be jealous, JDS is an awesome boxer and since when did a K-1 champ equal HW boxing champ, try a big cup of STFU moron.
January 1, 2012 at 12:33 am
I personally prefer to concur.
January 1, 2012 at 12:34 am
You are correct I disagree with you.
January 1, 2012 at 12:35 am
BUT can you chew gum and spell, next week we’ll try walking and humming while crosseyed.
January 1, 2012 at 12:36 am
Cerrone was thought to be unstoppable also.

January 1, 2012 at 12:40 am
I cant think of a better fighter for them to bring Reem in against..no striking 14 month layoff from disease, yea, hes not on my wagon list just yet.
January 1, 2012 at 12:42 am
Its amazing how much attention a boring fight like that had. HWs are not my favorite division.
January 1, 2012 at 3:48 am
You forgot the part where Overeem was beaten by Shogun, an MMA fighter. Who outboxed him. Twice.
January 1, 2012 at 10:40 am
hahahahah guys alister won the k1 titel by luck first of all!!!
its a turnament one guy had a bocken arm befor fightin him the other fought a hard match against samy shild…
second overems stand up is not that good at all!!!! he had powwer and is fast for a couple of min but belive me there is absolutly no way he win a fight against jds!!! i saw him get beaten in sparing by dutch guys often..
clearly if he hit u in the first 2 min ur done but jds has swo much more to ofer than alister….
he is faster when it goes more than 3 min he is better on the ground plus he his elusiv!!!
plus overems chin is not that god..
i bet my money one jds only one who can beat him is cane v. if he do what he does best take u down and work …
i hat guy see one fight and say yeah he is the man only guy i did that was jon jones after beatin boner…
lesner is not a very skild mma fighter …if u he cant take u down hes done jds would finish him so bad that every one would say ohh broch is a bitch…i like brock but just beat the shit out of lighter guys dont makes u an mma fighter!!!
the cowboy is a fighter even koschek u guys know wy!?
course ther coming to fight they get rocked and try to hold on pull gard or clinch not to lay there and hope the ref will sep in and stop it!!!
watch edger thats a fighter not brock sry dont wanna piss any one of but brock says any given sonday….is the time he can lose to any HW
January 1, 2012 at 1:58 pm
Correct apocalypse, 5 years ago.
January 1, 2012 at 3:10 pm
Im not sure if my memory’s playing tricks but i don’t remember dos santos having a struggle against nelson, the way i remember was jds dominated the fight but couldn’t put him away, his cardio maybe didnt look great but thats not exactly something reem is known for either. Its a tough fight to call cos there are question marks with both fighters but off recent form u have to give the edge to jds just for the level of fighters he’s beat
January 1, 2012 at 7:44 pm
Well Overeem has had only one loss as a heavyweight and I think that was his first or second fight. But apart from that, he has really come into his element as a heavyweight.
All those losses that you spoke about were at light heavyweight, where he was getting taken out by the natural speed and power of people such as shogun and liddell, but has heavyweight, he has power and has worked on his speed. Making him at the very minimum, stiff resistance for any HW fighter.
We all know his striking is of the very elite, and denying that would make you an idiot. His hands might not be as good as Juniors but he has the benefit of having very powerful kicks and knees, and the ability to deal damage with them from the clinch.
Now im not saying that he is going to beat JDS, but then again, I’m not saying JDS is going to beat overeem.
However, I think it might play out like the JDS/Carwin fight, both being too cautious of what the other is capable. But if JDS gets Overeem in a position like he got Carwin (Smashing his face in against the fence) I dont think Overeem has the Tungsten chin of Carwin and will be out of it. The only way I see overeem winning is working the body of JDS from the clinch and taking advantage of an injured Junior. So really, its 50/50, because they’re both good at doing those two things. Bastards.
January 1, 2012 at 7:51 pm
Thats all I am sayin is that Big Country would be a blob of mush after Overeem.
January 2, 2012 at 1:00 am
I do not think Overeem is very skillful, but he is very strong. I watched carefully the K-1 tournament when he became champion and most of the guys there were more skillful than him. If JDS plays it smart and keeps his distance, he can win. Overeem has a tendency to cover up when attacked ferociously.
But Overeem is not to be underestimated. He is physically very strong and if the opponent is not careful enough and gets cornered, 3-4 kicks and punches from Overeem can finish almost anybody.
January 2, 2012 at 3:37 pm
I wasn’t that impressed with him against Lesnar. He scored a few good shots, but I think JDS will capitalise on the boxing. Overeem is without a doubt a brilliant standup fighter, freakishly strong and huge, but JDS is brilliant at boxing, brilliant at BJJ (although we havnt had a chance to see it) and is a bloody nice and humble guy. It will be close but JDS will out box him, keep it standing and win. I hope to see JDS stay the champ for a while.
January 2, 2012 at 5:30 pm
Mir and Kongo. No WAY!
January 6, 2012 at 5:00 am
beats lesnar and every 1 thinks he`s gonna destroy JDS? who has great bjj if he was to use it and any1 who has watched reem fight knows ufc have overhyped him! guy got ktfo twice by shogun ffs! imagine what JDS will do!!!
January 26, 2012 at 7:55 pm
Any REAL MMA FAN would’ve known the outcome of Overeem and Brock. All the UFC nuthuggers have no idea about MMA, besides what their leader Dana tells them. HA HA HA HA AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
January 26, 2012 at 8:14 pm
Counting K-1, which is where the stand up elite fight and he is King, Overeem has a 40 wins and 15 loss record, 40 WINS!!!! I foresee Dos Santos not even attempting to stand with Overeem. His ONLY chance is a sneaky submission IF he can tire out the REEM! I like the heck out of Dos Santos as a humble human being and respect the hell out of him as a fighter.
January 26, 2012 at 8:21 pm
K-1 is closer to MMA than boxing is. A boxer doesn’t need to train his kicks and doesn’t prepare to defend them.
February 4, 2012 at 7:24 pm
he does look better since moving to heavy weight but his win streak has not been against top 10 guys and i would say carwin was stronger than brock. and every one thought cain would win cos of more tools in his stand up but its heavyweight mma and can end in an instant, we wont know till after the fight.
