Alot of the base wages look pretty decent. These are the sorta numbers I hope fighters start getting regularly. I still hate seeing main card fighters getting less the 25k.

And are the bonuses a different % then normally? could of sworn last UFC its was 100% bonus not 50%

hmm, 6 month medical suspensions for Lesnar and Shields. Guess we won’t see Brock back in the octagon all that soon then. As for Shields, that might create some major issues with scheduling the fight with GSP or Kos (Assuming Dana still plans on giving him the title shot).

It’s not crazy the UFC know what they are doing and know who draws and who doesn’t and who boost cards. It’s the casual mma fans that boost PPV numbers not the hardcore fans. Sure Tito is no longer a top 10 guy but having him on the card boost’s the buy’s and don’t worry about Cain his pay will be a lot more now.

The total fighters payout was only 3 million. PPV alone made at min 40 million.. This one reason BOXING will always be better then the UFC. BOXERS GET PAID!! DANA WHITE NEVER pays the UFC fighters like they should BE!!!With all that money made in PPV buys, their should of atleast been 5 or 6 guys making atleast a million a piece!!! Somebody outside the UFC need to get involved in how DANA WHITE handles paying the fighters. THIS IS JUST ROBBERY!!!!!

how does wat Boxers get paid make it better then the UFC? how does James Toney wearing all his bling and shine make him train now a days? they become babies, they get to the point where there so paid they don’t need to do anything they dont want and they become prisses man. minus a few. theres still a few warriors over there. but ur theory is retarded. how does Boxers getting paid more make it Better to YOU? maybe to it’s fighters but you’re not a fighter soooo. does it make them fight harder? no they hit eachother with pillows dance and hug.

you can’t compre tito and cain at the moment cause cain has only becaome a star, and tito was one of the biggest stars for along time,Cain will make loads more money now cause he gained a massive following just from this fight, i think he will be one of the biggest stars in mma.

when tito was cain’s age he was probably making considerably less the UFC probably would have gone under before TUF if it wasnt for Tito and Chuck its funny how quick people forget is Tito really relevant in the 205 division probably not but the UFC signed him it’s like if the UFC resigned Chuck how much per fight do you think they would pay him regardless of recent performance offering him as much money as a relative rookie in Cain would be a slap in the face to someone who helped build your brand to one of the biggest in the sporting industry

Dana paid Tito so much, because Tito agreed to wear that ‘Dana is my hero’ T-shirt. Is james Toney the biggest ever UFC payout btw? I can’t understand why Shields got as much as he did, he only by a fix.

Your probably right but as much as I dislike Tito I ahve no problem with him making money, I only have a problem with the guys that don’t make enough to live on comfortably. This is capatalism and Tito may suck in comparison now but he has definetly made his wage worth paying over the years for all he has done with his big mouth to get us all to watch his fights and promote the sport. I don’t care if Dana or Tito or Bisping(shudders a bit) makes 3 trillion a month as long as the fighters are comfortable in the highest ranked promotion available and are able to focus on their fights and not have to worry about what is waiting in the future. Just like any sport the best comes out when the the focus is right.

I don’t think boxing is better but if we look at hockey or football or soccer we can see that you can pay players lots of money and keep them performing if you have enough prospects in line which is definetly something that mma has to offer so there is no need to keep guys like Cain at such a low level of pay considering how much they work to get into the big leagues. Unlike the other sports mentioned you cannot be carried for any amount of time by your teamates and those players are making millions every year. You might say well they shouldn’t have agreed, but consider that if this is as high as it gets than they have no option but to try and continue on with whatever they get since it’s that or quit. The champs should be making their millions and the contenders enough to not have a job on the side at the very least once they have made it as far as the likes of UFC or WEC or strikeforce. The olympic competitors are in a similiar sate in many countries and lose because they can’t focus and train to the highest degree as much as their competitors. Yes there are sponsors but there are those that still don’t get enough.
