Thiago Alves is cleared to fight

Thiago alves has been cleared to fight just 2 months after brain surgery. The Pitbull wasnt allowed to have his rematch with Jon Fitch at UFC 111 due to a brain injury. Alves lost the first fight via TKO and wants to get back into the Octagon ASAP to avenge his loss. FItch vs Alves is scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City at UFC 117

    same, I just don’t like Fitch’s grind to a decision style, Alves is much more exciting

    This fight will solidify the number one contender spot!!! I think Fitch is gonna outpoint Alves for the win. Fitch’s game is just too overwhelming. There is always the high risk of getting knocked out by Alves but Fitch’s defense is outstanding. I am guessing it will be a boring, yet highly technical fight.

    Alves is the favorite but watching Fitch beat Ben Saunders who was coming off a couple wins was pretty impressive. Fitch has definitely improved his stand up and already has a strong wrestling back ground. Alves will probably win but i think itll be interesting.
