I have been looking forward to Shark Fights for some time now. I think they did a fantastic job of putting together match-ups… Right down to the late addition of Daley. I was expecting a sub-par last minute opponent for Paul, but Jorge Masvidal is perfect. There are no gimmes in this one.

Not that it matters, but why was my first post in this thread deleted…? That and the fact the other post above with the correct card, which was accurate and merely informative, got rated weak… very strange really…

Also, according with MMA Junkie, John Gunderson (who was supposed to fight Escudero) will fight Yves Edwards: “Gunderson (23-7 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is now expected to meet returning UFC veteran Yves Edwards (38-16-1 MMA, 6-4 UFC) on the un-televised portion of the Spike TV event.”

Jeez the Shark fight card is better than the UFC’s Fight Night card. Its a must see event. Paul Daley, Brock Larson and Sokoudjou. Man this is a really nice card. If they can keep this up, they might be a top 3 promotion in about a year(Maybe). Hell of a start though!

Brock Larson should still be in the UFC. Watched him live. He had heart and he was showing the crowd love. Everyone liked him.

Nice to see Spratt back in action in Shark Fights.

I agree with your assessment, but its not a new organization. The promotion is based out of Amarillo, Texas…. It made its debut in October of 2008. New or not tho, this is expected to be their biggest card ever. I like how rather than getting a bunch of UFC wash-ups, they actually got guys that could easily still be on the roster.
