UFC officials today confirmed that, as expected, UFC 114 will be headlined by a Lightheavyweight fight between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Sugar” Rashad Evans. Fighters have agreed and signed the deals for said fight, taking place May 29th in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.Both fighters served as coaches on the 10th series of The Ultimate Fighter, and many a verbal blow was exchanged.
Both fighters shared an almost unhealthy amount of trash talk, and it’s no secret how much they dislike each other, and almost came to blows on more than one occasion.UFC president Dana White had this to say, about the upcoming match:
“It’s no secret that Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans don’t like each other, and this rivalry has gotten more and more intense in the last few months,” said White. “I can guarantee you that neither one of these guys wants to lose to each other, this fight is going to be insane.
