I think it is more about how close the fights are….GSP is not finishing lately but has very dominate performances. Cruz’s last two fights have been pretty evenly contested.

Its a little early to decide if he is even in top 10

I also Cruz would do better in this fight. While I can see the judges giving Cruz every round, I also thought most of them were pretty close.
Johnson clearly was the better striker and if he improves his take down defense, it might be different the next time.
Still, I think Cruz belongs on the p4p list. 4 consecutive title defenses is worthy of a lot of respect. Edgar is on a lot of lists and he hasn’t beaten anyone who’s name isn’t BJ Penn since 2009.

Even though Johnson was a little better on the feet Cruz was able to take him down continually and had him in a lot of bad positions in the fight. Cruz showed he can go five rounds with in my opinion the best conditioned fighter to ever fight five rounds (Johnson). So you have to consider him in the p4p

True, but considering he beat Penn twice, who was in most people’s top 3 p4p at the time, it makes sense.

I agree Joey, I have actually him in my p4p list. I was arguing more for Cruz than against Edgar.
