Michael Bisping has nothing but respect for Dan Miller

UFC Middleweight contender Michael “The Count” Bisping looked back at his UFC 114 co-main event Unanimous Decision victory over the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Dan Miller. Michael Bisping spoke about his respect for Dan Miller‘s heart and determination, stating that he was one of the toughest opponents of his career.

Victory over Dan Miller improves Bisping’s Mixed Martial Arts record to an impressive 19-3, going 3-2 in his last five fights. Michael Bisping is now 9-3 inside The Octagon, after making his debut against Josh Haynes at the Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale.

Michael Bisping declared numerous times that he is looking for a rematch against “The Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva, after the two met in the co-main event of UFC 110 in Australia, last February. Wanderlei Silva will square off against the Japanese-Korean superstar Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116 on July 3rd.

Bisping is not a top level fighter! hes never been one!
he got caught in his own hype that dana make to win the UK

like he said every lost he has is to top level fighter henderson/rashad/wanderlei but every win he has is to b-class fighters!

hes never KO anyone in the UFC i dont know where the hell he gets the idea that Miller has an iron chin to handle his ” big punches ”

since he has no power at ALL! its like Forrest punches and punches but wont KO anyone its just that some guys have that power some dont

Bisping if you defeat Belcher , Marquartd even Maia
then u can even mention the words belt , title , championship OK!

Micheal did not seem to push the fight like he normally does. He aint my fav fighter by any means but at least he was not a douche going in or during the fight like alot of his other fights. I kno he likes to trash talk so for him to be a lil humble after a win is a step up. Although the fight itself showed that if he had to fight someone who is a better fighter in his div. then Bisping could have some problems pullin out another Un. decision. If he cant finish Dan i dont see him finishing a higher ranked fighter.

i think the only reason he didn’t really push the fight is cause he thought miller was going to try and take him down

Bisping is not alien to the ground game. I think that Bisping would have defended it well if not at least have tried a takedonw himself just to push the fight in another direction, but he felt confident in his standup so thats where it stayed.

He did an interview with Ariel where he said Henderson taught him a tough lesson and that’s why he doesn’t talk smack anymore.

I think that Bisping vs Maia could actually make for an interesting fight. Maia could find out how far he can go with his stand-up and Bisping could learn about how much his defense on the ground is really worth against top-level grappling.

Bisping is still a good 2 or 3 fights from a title shot. What Joe Silva and Dana should do is have Marquardt fight Belcher in August, and if Wandy wins in July, have him and the winner of that fight have a #1 contender’s match in November. It would set up perfectly for a title match in Feb or March of 2011 because Sonnen and A. Silva fight in August and the winner of that would have 6 to 7 months off, which is what most champions usually take off. After that fight, if Silva is still winning, he should defend 1 more time, than they should set up a GSP vs. Silva megafight, which of course depends on if GSP wins his next 2 fights also. In this case, all of the stars would be aligned and the timing would be perfect for the biggest fight to ever happen in the UFC. Dana needs to make it happen quick though, because it won’t have as much hype if one of them 2 lose a fight. Imagine both of them going into a fight with each of them having defended their own title about 7 to 10 times a piece. It looks a lot better that way then it would if one of them somehow lost their title.
