Marshall Zelaznik says one UFC show in UK is locked for 2010

UFC United Kingdom Chief revealed that the UFC have already one show “locked in” for 2010, and doing everything they can to secure another. The Ultimate Fighting Championship had two UK events in 2009 (UFC 95 and UFC 105), but 2010 seems to have a different schedule as no UFC event in the UK officially announced just yet. Zelaznik related to the issue:

“We are working on it-we have one show locked in and working on trying to find others. United Kingdom is also a place where UFC are looking to go, so the fans should not worry about UK events this year. I do not have a date to share, just yet.”

In it’s 17-year existence UFC traveled to Puerto Rico, Japan, Brazil, Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland and Northern Ireland, with UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi that will continue promotion’s global expansion. UFC President Dana White declared UFC 110: Nogueira vs Velasquez as the most succesful UFC event overseas, with 17,831 spectators and $2.5 million gate receipt.

I agree the last show was great – the crowd was so in to it. Watch Bisping-Kang again and every shot landed is followed by a roar from the crowd.
