Junior Dos Santos: I proved I have a good takedown defense

Number one contender for the UFC Heaavyweight title Junior “Cigano” Dos Santos looked back at his victory over Shane Carwin in the main event of last night’s UFC 131, as well as the future bout against the reigning Champion Cain Velasquez. Dos Santos stated that the referee Herb Dean made a good decision not to stop the fight at the end of Round 1, and that he was happy to prove the quality of his takedown defense against Shane Carwin.

Where’s Steven Seagal? Claiming he taught JDS how to box and defend takedowns?

so many people thought carwin was gonna knock jds out… where are you now? that fight was barly even competeive. when junior had carwin against the fence and was punching his face repetedly, i was screaming knees to the body, i think kneeing a downed opponent in the body is the most viscious thing you can do to someone besideds kneeing a downed opponent to the face, which is obviously illegal.

Weird….Ariel kinda looks like Rampage…if you pause it at 00:01

Ariel paying homage? Or trying to piss off Rampage again?

I enjoyed the fight but I had thought Carwin would put in a better showing.

There were no kicks, few elbows or knees and almost no ground game in the fight.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of strikeforce heavyweights into the UFC.
