George Sotiropoulos was so dominating, he looked awesome in every aspect of his fight. his ground transitions were spectacular!

That’s obviously Cain Velazquez
Told you guys he had it in him
This makes the heavyweight devision very interesting!
February 21, 2010 at 5:50 pm
It’s a hard choice actually but my personal feelings make my pick Sotiropoulos
February 21, 2010 at 5:57 pm
In the last day I have seen:
1) the unstoppable Nogueria get tko’d
2)Bisping act like a man and gain some respect
3)Joe Rogan do one of the slickest arm triangles I have ever seen
3)and Tito keep his mouth shut
Am I on Bizzaro world? Am I here? Is anyone out there?
February 21, 2010 at 6:15 pm
Sotiropoulos has been impressive …
Cain’s ko was wonderful but Sotiropoulos pulls the “upset”
February 21, 2010 at 6:29 pm
A lot of eyes were on Cain and most people realized he was a force and I think that this performance opened up everyone else’s eyes. George did a fantastic job! He definitely deserves fight of the night!
February 21, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Went for Velazquez that was some knockout and imo he dominated Big Nog .
George Sotiropoulos was brilliant aswell
February 21, 2010 at 7:09 pm
yea Cain overcame the adversity and beat Nog so he deserves major rep for that in my book. Wandy beat the biggest mouth in all of GB so gotta love him. But Darth was the most impressive fight to me. He overcame the Jardine southpaw and actually looked pretty dominate at 205.
February 21, 2010 at 7:25 pm
where did you see joe rogan do the arm triangle?
February 21, 2010 at 7:48 pm
it was on the side videos…don’t care for Rogan, it was slick though, Bravo is the man.
February 21, 2010 at 8:00 pm
very very narked and offended by this commment
February 21, 2010 at 8:07 pm
It’s not that hard for me when Cain finished the fight so quick…
February 21, 2010 at 8:15 pm
im not just saying this because im a big fan of his,but i think wanderlei was the most impressive. this was a fight that he HAD to win.and i feel he dominated him most of the fight.but he needs to be more aggresive like he was at the end of the fight…
February 21, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Why the **** did so many people think wanderlei was so impressive? He delievered a half assed fight against an average+ opponent in bisping. George and cain on the other hand impressed a lot. Even chris lytle impressed more than wanderlei.
February 21, 2010 at 9:06 pm
Cain’s preformance make me question just how good is Fedor?… Noone has ever dominated Big Nog like that.
February 21, 2010 at 10:26 pm
Cain by far, did not see that coming at all, kinda sucks nog lost tho
February 22, 2010 at 12:51 am
Same. I felt sick when I saw Nog get knocked out, but eventually the legend needs to be stopped.
February 22, 2010 at 1:55 am
You stole my picture man lol
I dont care though, good to see another Shogun fan
February 22, 2010 at 1:57 am
Cain might actually have a shot at the title if he can keep Brock the freight train from running him over and get back to his feet.
Cain’s boxing was MUCH improved IMO.
Skills are skills no matter what you may think of a guy.

Fedor fought Nog in his absolute prime! The Nog of today isn´t the same as he was in Pride! The dominant guys in Pride aren´t that good anymore. Maybe because of the age or maybe they already took a lot of hits in their life…who knows. Fedor is still an impressive Fighter but you can´t tell how good he is now, because he is not fighting against the younger and upcoming fighters! But you can´t denie that he was the best p4p in the world in the older days.
February 22, 2010 at 3:45 am
fedor is still fresh, his stand up vrs rogers was way better than what we saw from nog last night, i sorry but every time i see nog fight now his strikes look slow mo
February 22, 2010 at 4:40 am
Cain, of course. Why is Wand second? I thought Bisping was the worst fighter in the universe according to most of the people on here.
Cain was amazing, knew he was very powerful but didn’t expect him to outbox Nog like that and finish him so quickly. George should be second, he was way more impressive than Wand.
Bisping was impressive, I agree as an Englishman that he was fighting cans, but I now they’re giving him decent fights I think he’s getting his old killer instinct back and could do really well for his weight. I thought Wand would KO him even tho I was rooting for him, and I was suprised at how good he was.
Also, I feel bad for Jardine….
February 22, 2010 at 5:32 am
Sotiropoulos gave the best performance in my opinion, he was the underdog in the fight and totally domintated. Cain’s perfromance was good too but he was fighting an aging nog who doesnt seem to have it anymore.
February 22, 2010 at 7:59 am
I agree with cooljay1622. Sotiropoulos may not have finished the fight but his performance was incredible against a very tough opponent. Would have liked to see that thing go 5 rounds.
February 22, 2010 at 8:21 am
ya, i no what you mean, i hate watching mma legends get knocked out, always feel kinda sick when i see the gonzaga knockout on cro cop, or rampage knockout on wanderlei and now cain knockout on nog
February 22, 2010 at 12:20 pm
On topic though: I was most impressed by George Sotiropoulos at 110. Even though Cain Velasquez left no doubt that he is a force to be taken seriously in the HW division by KO’in Big Nog in the first, the pure level of skill in George’s – not to mention his opponent’s – ground game was so high that even my grappling unenthusiastic friends were spilling beer in pure excitement. Considering the fact that he dominated such a high level grappler just goes to prove that Sotiropoulos is a world class ground fighter, which unfortunately the majority of UFC fans lacks the appreciation of. A fight may be spectacular even if it doesn’t end in a KO.

I definitely agree
February 22, 2010 at 6:34 pm
George Sotiropoulos. Stevenson is nothing to sneeze at & George dominated him. Cain should bet KO of the night.
February 23, 2010 at 7:45 am
wand was king! and bisping was poor on his feet like i said! nog got caught ! if that was early ufc nog would of took a bang on his chin and recovered!
February 23, 2010 at 7:54 am
wand was toyn with bisping. every round last 10 secs of them he put sum more poundings on him and the last of it should of been a tko. or if wand had 20 more secs he would of ko him.
February 23, 2010 at 10:24 pm
Where Velasquez was great KO, I don’t think a head down power swing deserve the recognition it is receiving.
George Sotiropoulos showcased some amazing BJJ technique that doesn’t transverse a lot into MMA. Even more so, he did it to Big Daddy who is extremely rehearsed on the ground.
Way to go George. You brought your A game..
February 24, 2010 at 12:05 am
wats wrong with the head down power swing???????
they where exchanging blows, wat do u expect a hockey fight??????
thats how rampage ko’d wanderli silva if u don’t remember and i think it earned him k’o of the night, correct me if im wrong?? but would u stand toe to toe exchanging face shots with a mixed martial artist………….please!!!!!!
February 24, 2010 at 3:47 am
You are missing the point to why I voted the way I did. There is nothing wrong with it. It was exciting to see both of them stand toe to toe and both go for it.
But when you are talking impressive performance, in my mind Sotiropoulos was just amazing. He had 3 rounds of dominance in standing and on the ground.
February 25, 2010 at 1:02 am
ya i was like dayum when knocked big nog out
February 26, 2010 at 6:17 pm
Cro Cop for sure. He was coming back from a loss to Junior Dos Santos, and beat the piss outta Perosh. Perosh is just lucky he called it quits before Cro Cop messed him up even worse..
