The results of the poll so far are surprising to me (Couture-Toney is leading)… I am way more interested in Edgar-Penn II. This is a pivotal match-up for Penn and I am excited to see if Frankie can silence the nay-sayers. Toney’s attempts to “hype” the fight have actually made me less interested in that one for some reason.

I’m more interested in Penn-Edgar II as well, I don’t see what the buzz is about the Toney-Couture fight, it doesn’t matter who wins, they’re both past their prime and unlikely to matter in the grand scheme of things down the line. The more important fight is the one that will definitively decide the fate of the Lightweight division for the forseeable future.

People who Penn vs Edgar 2: Are you honestly saying that if only one of those fights could happen and you had the power to decide which one it would be, you would rather see Penn vs Edgar!? A fight that has already happened and is simply just another title fight (that I am as always very excited to see).

Too many people want to see toney get ****ed up from all the trash talk he has been doing. Just amazes me how much trash talk can increase sales… I shouldn’t be surprised though -____-

James toney and randy couture are out of their prime, but none the less it still MIGHT be interesting.

I have to go with BJ Penn vs Edgar 2. I love watching BJ Penn fight, but I’m not a fan. There are only 3 people in my fan book!!!

I can’t figure out which one will be more interesting. I definetly would like to see BJ vs Edgar just to see if BJ will really bring it now but I also am wondering if Toney really has a chance or not against Couture. I don’t believe he does but we have seen some weird upsets lately. This would be amoung the biggest upsets if Toney won.

Yea, I have to admit… After I wrote my previous comment here, I watched the 118 Countdown and while I am still more excited about Edgar-Penn II, Toney actually almost had me sold… Also, KenFlo vs The Bully is right up there too! Great event all around. Just hope it lives up to all it should be!

If Randy comes out and starts with leg kicks and doesn’t try to trade with Toney then it will just be a matter of time before he takes him down and ends the fight.

On the other hand, if he tries to stand up with Toney then good night Mr Couture. Boxers have a highly developed muscle area which enables them to punch with greater intensity. Someone like Toney will be able to punch near a ton per square inch. Randy will never have been hit with this much power before and Toney will be able to sustain this. He also will be able to use the ring with great foot work. He’ll control it with a far superior jab before landing the big shots. If Randy is quick enough and starts landing those kicks then that will take half of Toney’s tools away.

I think this might be a shocker and a Toney win.
