BJ Penn says he'll be back fighting in November

  • Drago

Yeah man, think thats what he really needs, fight as soon as possible so he can recover mentally from this losses. He has the technical and physical talent to be the best LW ever, he just needs to be there mentally as well!

  • DeadlyIntentions93

    George S. or Gomi.

Either Opponent would be a good fight, Gomi wants to redeem his lose to BJ and George S. has been on a tear lately with 2 big wins over Stevenson and Pellegrino.

  • TheRealDeal

I think Gomi would be great. Feed Sots to Florian.

  • griffin

hells yea. Love BJ cant wait to see him back in action

  • WingChun

I don’t recognize “The Bug” without his “Bug” sunglasses. I guess his face and eyes have recovered from the Edgar loss.

    BJ’s biggest problem – himself.

Source of the problem – his ego.

He better train his ass off for his next fight, win it and do so in a decisive manner. A third loss for Penn would a disaster. Old Yeller – kind of disaster.

I feel sorry for who ever gets matched up against BJ in his next fight.

i agree with you drago. the last two fights versus Frankie BJ seemed tired or uniinterested to be there. Thats why i feel he was really laidback in his fight and not pushing the action. Thats what hurt him in both fights. Sitting back and lettin Frankie hit him and gain points for takedownsa nd not try to do anything offensive himself.

Clay Guida basically said on his twitter that hes fightin Gomi, so I think Penn will either fight George or Kenflo, hoepfully its George I dont wnt to see Kenflo/Penn 2 so quick

  • DeadlyIntentions93

    Turns out Sots is up against Lauzon next. :{

  • Rafaelroberto840

    …but George is fighting J-low

  • Jamie Kennedy

    BJ stay in hawaii son!!!
sotoripolous is fighting lauzon its official
    Gomi fighting Clay guida official
    dunno who that leaves kenflo????

  • mma420

    Penn vs Diaz

  • Joey Santosus

Curious to see what level of competition they put BJ up against. Hopefully they do not give him a “gimmie fight” just to bolster his ego. As long as he is fighting a formidable opponent, the match will speak volumes about his future.

  • azzkika

Edgar was simply too fast for BJ. BJ didn’t have the speed or footwork with which to press the action. He was doing all he could not to get hit.

  • azzkika

Alot of fans think BJ become bad and are blind to how good Edgar was. BJ is still the man to beat at LW, as well as Edgar.

  • daigoro702

thats what i dont understand, people aways saying that bj wasnt there and this and that, come on guys he had all the time in the world to get ready for this fight not only he had already fought this guy and knew what he was going for, i tjink bj just could not figure edgar out and he was just to fast for him.

he trained his ass off im sure for this fight. I doubt he sat back and was like “Im not gunna worry bout him, i think i won the last fight so i def will win the rematch” naw he just seemed to be out of it. And good god im not takin anything away from edgar cause sayin that really crawls up sime peoples ass

  • japanegro23

Lauzon is going to get em.

  • japanegro23

Got to love a guy who fights and fights and fights. I’ve always liked that about BJ. He never just sat on the belt when he had it and now that he lost it, he still wants to fight. Right now would have been the perfect time to take a break.
