Check out the new Fedor Emelianenko commercial, which will probably tug at your heart strings….

MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko has been retired from the sport for more than two years now, but he is still one of the most debated fighters of all time. The Pride FC heavyweight champion spent ten years terrorising the most dangerous division in the sport, and built himself in to the fabric of modern day MMA in doing so.

“”The Last Emperor” suffered some hard to watch defeats in his later years, none more soul crushing for his fans than his Strikeforce bout against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. With his fighting days now thoroughly behind him, Emelianenko still has his hand in the sport. He currently is the President of the Russian MMA union, and continues to take part in seminars and talks for young fighters.

In the following advert, Fedor seems to be in good shape still, and reveals a lighter side to his notoriously cold demeanour. The scenes open with a young boy discovering that his tired father used to be a fighter, as Emelianenko beats up Jeff Monson on the TV set.

Without wanting to ruin it too much, the new Fedor Emelianenko commercial turns out to be a heart-warming tale, all fit in to just two and a half minutes of footage. The ad is supposedly for a Russian gym.
